IG REELS SCRIPT – WHITNEY BIENNIAL
Attitude– whimsical, playful. In each shot host is standing in front of the art piece being discussed

Hook: Should you see art in person? [Host standing outside the Whitney]

Intro: I’m [NAME] here at the opening of the Whitney Biennial exploring which pieces are worth the trip. [Inside Whitney Lobby]

Worth it– Young Joon Kwak, “Divine Dance of Soft Revolt (Anna, Travis, Me)”

If you want to feel something– small, powerful, enthralled, titillated, this piece by Young Joon Kwak is the place to be. Maybe I’ll go dancing after this, move my body, let go into the night.

Worth it– Teresa Baker’s “The Harvest Melting On Our Tongue” (2025)
Inspiring safety, awe, and maybe even a swim, I am standing below this piece with my mouth open. It’s good to be reminded of our smallness sometimes. After the club, to the beach!

Worth it– Malcolm Peacock’s “Five of them were hers and she carved shelters with windows into the backs of their skulls” (2024)

Made of over 3,500 hand-stitched braids, this piece towers over the viewer. Peacock’s work asks if we can define what is real amongst ourselves and whom or what we give value to.

Worth it– CFGNY’s “Continuous Fractures Generating New Yields” (2025)

A piece that forces you to look closer, reinterpreting old materials like 2 x 4s and interrogating your worldview. It is as delicate as it is territorial. And is best viewed from all angles.

Outro: So there you have it– 4 pieces worth making the trip to see in person. But we think all art is best viewed in the flesh.

Okay, I’ll meet you at the club [Walking off screen]

[Pops head back in frame] Or at the beach?
